Larry Prochner is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. His research interests include the home/school transitions in preschools in Canada. India and South Africa, and the History of early childhood services with a focus on Canada, Australia and New Zealand. He is co-editor (with N. Howe) of Early Childhood Education and Care in Canada, published by the University of British Columbia Press. Also, he is Editor of the Alberta Journal of Educational Research.
